01 / WHAT REMAINS
MEMORIES
THAT STICK.
Bubblegum leaves a trace.
So does a life.
Baburugamu takes its name from bubblegum: a way of thinking about the residue of memory. The moments that cling. The details that refuse to disappear, even as everything around them changes.
Behind the pop colours are rabbit skulls—symbols of nostalgia, mortality and passing time. Something playful holds something fragile. The brightness draws you in; the subject gives you a reason to stay.
Look beneath the surface and the ExyOzys are still there. This is another form of the same visual language, carrying an earlier world into a new one.

JUST ANOTHER TIGER ATTACK…WAITS FOR
NO ONE.
Time takes hold.
Memories fade, shift and leave their mark.
THE SYSTEM / TIME → MEMORY → PHYSICAL EXPRESSION
THE TIGER.
THE TRACE.

Time is the tiger.
Memory is what remains.
The tiger stalks its prey. In its wake, the rabbit skulls of Baburugamu remain: memories of what was, altered by the passing of time. Brightness and mortality occupy the same image.
There are poems embedded in the Baburugamu works, too. Another layer to discover beneath the colour; another way into the relationship between time and the traces it leaves.
Tiger Attack takes that concept into the physical world through hand-painted hats. Not a separate story or a logo applied to an object: another expression of the same SidXO system.
All original hats have been claimed. Their story continues as an archive of the works and the people who wear them.
