What are Sensory Overload ExyOzys?

Immersive, visual representations of my personal experience of neurodiversity using animated sequences. The ExyOzys are representations of the human soul, each being as unique as the people around us.

The idea behind my latest work (SidXO NFTs) is to offer the viewer an experience from my perspective; mixed feelings of confusion, familiarity, beautiful but mesmerising nonsense and powerful sensory overload.

The most exciting thing about art is that it comprises of such a broad range of media. There is a practice that NFT artists are well aware of, when it comes to physical products. The process involves the sale of a work of art after which the owner is given a choice between burning a physical piece to keep the NFT alive or vice versa to obtain the physical piece. I see this as a very wasteful misuse of the technology. I have a great respect for all my output and therefore, the Sensory Overload NFT works all come with a supporting physical piece, ready to hang on your favourite wallspace. This may be a controversial move to some but I see the blockchain as being the ultimate form of provenance and I place both pieces in the hands of my collectors for them to destroy or retain either one at their own discretion.

Whilst it can be exciting to see overnight successes and $Ms flying around in the peak of the Bull Run, it’s important to act responsibly and detract from the irresponsible actions of degen influencers and pump/dump. In response, I created an art HODL reward last July. More in the video below.
