Where Did The ExyOzys Come From?
The ExyOzys first appeared in works as far back as 2019. Originating as representations of the human soul, each being as unique as the people around us. Featuring in the piece ‘🩸𝕎𝕖 𝔸𝕝𝕝 𝔹𝕝𝕖𝕖𝕕 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕊𝕒𝕞𝕖 ℂ𝕠𝕝𝕠𝕦𝕣‘, depicted as souls that have been damaged by hateful expressions in the same way bullets and razors can cut and destroy.
More recently I started sharing immersive, visual representations of my personal experience of neurodiversity using animated ExyOzys.
The idea behind my latest work (SidXO NFTs) is to offer the viewer an experience from my perspective; mixed feelings of confusion, familiarity, beautiful but mesmerising nonsense and powerful sensory overload. The idea; if you stare for long enough into the visuals on loop, it is possible to make out slices of recognisable information. Exactly what it feels like for me; finding my way through life, looking for patterns and reference material that might help me piece together something useful.
I daily contend with floods of visual distractions and highly-attractive garbage. And people can relate to this through my latest work.

Words kill, words give life, they are either poison or fruit, you choose, as none are immune to the tongue’s effects.
All too often, we use our words frivolously; they cut and pierce as easily as any weapon. The tongue may not draw physical blood but the pain is felt as real as any wound, each scar on our soul with a story to tell.
Regardless of social standing, skin colour, job title, nationality, gender, orientation, we all bleed the same colour. Spray Paint, custom cotton stitching, razors, bullet casings, and acrylics on Hahnemühle.
